Removing Mold from Bathroom Caulking (sourced various websites) –
Materials Needed to Remove Mold from Caulking
Bleach
Bowl and/or spray bottle
Water
Gloves
Cotton balls or Cotton Coil (preferred for large areas)
Ventilation mask (optional but recommended
Put on rubber gloves and a face mask. Mold is famous for its respiratory repercussions, but it can also cause skin irritation and rashes — or worse if you’re allergic. Don’t take a risk on this one.
Make a cleaning solution. Mix 1 tsp. of bleach with 1 cup of water in a spray bottle or in a bowl.
Apply the solution to moldy areas. And wait — don’t wipe it off right away. Letting the cleaner soak for 5-10 minutes will loosen the mold and make it easier to clean. Use a washcloth for that. When you’re done scrubbing the area, rinse the washcloth until the water runs clear. You don’t want the mold respawning.
Scrub a little harder with a toothbrush. Sometimes mold can be stubborn or in hard to reach places. When that happens, use a toothbrush dipped in cleaning solution and scrub, scrub, scrub until it’s spotless.
